I'm sure you have heard about Keith Olbermann from MSNBC.

I know I am late on this but, you will have to forgive my ADHD.

Keith Olbermann from MSNBC was suspended for donating to three democratic campaigns during the mid-term elections. He is currently off suspension.

My question is why suspend him for doing something any other citizen can do? Is he contractually required not to donate money to political parties? Are employees of the media networks not allowed to show their political colors? I don't care if he did it or not. Why should MSNBC? Are they afraid of looking more like a left-wing network then they really are?

GE donated large sums of money to the Obama campaign in 2008. What does that have to do with MSNBC? Well who is the parent company of MSNBC? The answer is NBC Universal. Who owns NBC Universal? None other then GE.

Where am I going with this? Keith Olbermann donted his own private money to three democratic candidates in the mid-term elections on his own time and wasted no company resources. If anything, MSNBC, NBC Universal, and GE should be proud and give him a raise, not suspend him.
